Covid -19 cases have been making a hotspot on Gauteng provinces and it is getting to a level that the whole province might have to shut down and go back to level 5 and this will just be made to save people’s lives.
The case number has increased to 63404 in Gauteng province alone which makes up the 32.2% of all the cases of COVID -19 in 9 provinces which makes some of the places on Gauteng to be considered hotspot now .
Reported Deaths and Recoveries
Regrettably, we report a further 173 COVID-19 related deaths- 2 from Northern Cape, 10 from the Free State, 21 from KwaZulu Natal, 29 from Eastern Cape, 40 from Western Cape and 71 from Gauteng.
This brings the total deaths to 3199.
We wish to express our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
The number of recoveries is 93 315, which translates to a recovery rate of 47,4%

As of 05 July 2020, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 196 750 with 8 773 new cases reported.
